Visit Llanelli is operated personally by Daniel Williams. For questions about cookies or your privacy, contact hello@visitllanelli.co.uk.

Visit Llanelli uses cookies and similar technologies to help the website function correctly, improve performance, and understand how visitors use the site.

Cookies may be used for:

  • Essential website functionality

  • Website analytics and performance

  • Remembering user preferences

  • Displaying embedded content (such as Facebook or other social media posts)

You can control or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that some parts of the website may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use Visit Llanelli. Analytics can collect information such as pages viewed, interactions, referring pages, browser and device details and approximate location. Where analytics cookies are enabled, identifiers can be used to recognise a browser across visits.

Google Analytics commonly uses cookies with names such as _ga and _ga_*. The cookies used and how long they last depend on the site’s configuration and the browser. These examples are not a complete inventory of cookies on every page.

For more information, see Google’s explanation of Analytics data. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers.

Remembering your cookie choices

Complianz stores the following cookies to remember which categories you accept or reject. These preference records do not themselves mean that advertising or analytics tracking is enabled.

Cookie Purpose Recorded duration
cmplz_functional Functional category preference 365 days
cmplz_statistics Analytics category preference 365 days
cmplz_preferences Preference category choice 365 days
cmplz_marketing Marketing and embedded-service category choice 365 days

This lists the consent cookies currently recorded by our tool, not every possible cookie across all browsers and features. Other services, including Disqus comments, may use their own identifiers when loaded. See our Privacy Policy for service-provider information. Browser settings may shorten cookie lifetimes.

Contact and closed newsletter sign-ups

The newsletter sign-up and website contact forms have been withdrawn. General messages and event suggestions now use email or the official Facebook page. Historic Mailchimp records may remain pending a retention review; disabling the integration does not itself delete those records. Following a Facebook link takes you to Meta’s service, where its own privacy and cookie terms apply.

Other directory and embedded services

Directorist Analytics and Disqus comments remain installed and active. Directory tools can process activity and technical information, while maps, videos and social feeds can contact their providers when loaded. The names, duration and consent behaviour of all service cookies are still being checked; the table above is not a complete cookie inventory. Use Cookie settings to change optional-service choices.

You can also use Cookie Settings in the footer. Choose Reject optional to refuse optional categories, or Choose cookies to adjust them, then save your preferences. You can reopen these controls to change your choice.

Simply browsing the website does not mean that you agree to optional tracking. Browser settings can help you block or remove cookies, although some features may stop working. Deleting a cookie does not, by itself, delete information already held by a provider. Contact us if you have questions about your information or want to exercise your privacy rights.
